Thanks for the clarification. Can I get an updated impacts table that I can add to the file, then? Hello Perry/Doug, I spoke with the engineer on this one and she said the following below in red. Let me know if this answers your questions. Thanks! We can get rid of the rip rap upstream since it will be buried like Doug said. We sized the rip rap downstream based on CLDSM 20.23 and Figure 8.06a from the NC Erosion and Sediment Control Planning and Design Manual. Based on the curve for a 72" pipe, the calculations call for a minimum 40' length apron. 2 If there is an exception that Perry or Doug are aware of, we can discuss it, but based on NC code we think it needs to be 40' length. Thanks, Forwarded message From: Perez, Douglas J <doug.perez@ncdenr.gov> Date: Wed, Feb 23, 2022 at 2:22 PM Subject: Back Creek Townhomes (DWR #22-0109) To: Perry Isner <perryisner@wetlands-waters.com> 3 Hey Perry, I had a question about this proposed culvert. I see that zo' of rip rap is proposed upstream and 40' downstream. First, that seems like a lot of rip rap downstream. Can we not pull that back? Second, why does there need to be rip rap upstream of the culvert? Given that this is proposed to be buried, I'm struggling a bit to find the purpose and need for all that rip rap. Let me know.
