Hi Katie,
Here are our responses to the Comments:
1) We will include in future monitoring reports.
2) This area is within a jurisdictional wetland with lots of wetland herbaceous growth. This coupled
with other vines growing around the plot may have stunted growth. We will monitor in the coming
year and will respond as necessary if the plot is not meeting success.

Hey Jamey,
DWR has reviewed the Year 4 Monitoring Report for the Polecat Buffer/Nutrient Offset site
(2016-0978v2). Comments on the report are provided as follows:
1. Vigor data is supposed to be included in the reports but was not provided in the Year 4
report. Include vigor in all future monitoring report data. The CVS summary of vigor for
the site will suffice for vigor data.
2. Plot #17 data reveals very short heights on planted stems in comparison to the rest of the
vegetative data of other plots. Is there a factor to consider here that may need to be
addressed? If the area around Plot 17 similar to the vegetation data within the plot? If
so, is RES considering any adaptive management?
Please respond to the items above within a timely manner. By copy of this correspondence, the
Polecat Site (DWR ID# 2016-098Ov2) Year 4 Monitoring Report is approved.
DWR authorizes a 20% reduction in the current bond amount of $60,000 for Bond# 9298627.
