Incorrect Permitting Fee Payment
Dear Mr. Creech:
John E. Skvarla, III
Secretary
DWR Project # 14 -0284
Franklin County
On March 25, 2014, The Division of Water Resources (DWR) received information for the above referenced project.
Included in the application package was check #1091 from the applicant made out to DWR for the correct permitting
fee of $240. The check is currently being processed by DWR.
On March 28, 2014, DWR received an additional check ( #1092) from Mr. Creech, made out incorrectly to the Division
of Water Quality for $200. This check was apparently part of an application package submitted to the US Army Corps
of Engineers (USACE), and was forwarded to DWR by Dorothy Harrington in the USACE Raleigh Field Office. This check
is not necessary, as the original application received by DWR on March 25 was complete.
® Your check # 1092 for $200 is herein enclosed. The fee for applications is $240 for projects impacting less
than an acre to the lake below the normal water level. The noted lake impacts are under the 1 acre
threshold, so the proper $240 fee (check #1091) was received by DWR with the original application
packet.
No additional information is currently requested. You application has been received and is currently being processed.
This letter only addresses the application review and does not authorize any impacts to wetlands, streams, waters, or
protected buffers. Please be aware that any impacts requested within your application are not authorized (at this
time) by the DWR. Please contact Niki Maher (919) 807 -6367 niki.maher @ncdenr.aov or Cherri Smith (919) 791 -4251
or cherri.smith @ncdenrgoov if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
