PROJECT: RECLASSIFICATION OF SHORELINE
Lot 829 — The Point —111 Thurstons Way
Lake Norman — Mooresville, NC 28117
After a site visit to the subject property, It was determined by Duke Energy — Lake
Services (DE -LS) that the shoreline at the above referenced location did not meet the
following criteria:
• Stable, wetland -type habitat and emergent vegetation (any portion of
which is at least 5 horizontal ft wide) composed >50% of the area between
the minimum lakeward distance and the maximum lakeward distance of
the vegetation for a liner distance of at least 100 feet.
Duke Energy is allowing Mr. Joe Wolfsberger to apply for a reclassification of 267' of
shoreline on Lake Norman from Environmental to Residential.
As one of the original commenting agencies on Duke Energy's Shoreline Classifications,
I have been asked to solicit any comments from your agency regarding this request to
correct the error. Your comments are needed for the application process to continue
through Duke's review and then to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission's review.
Enclosed please find a copy of the recorded plat of the property with the shoreline
marked, SMP Map, Location of property, and E -Mail from Duke allowing us to proceed
with this application.
