Sullins, Director Division of Water Quality August 14, 2007 DWQ Project # 07-1215 Franklin County CERTIFIED MAIL: RETURN RECEIPT REQUESTED Mr. Gregory Walker 140 Main Street Bunn, NC 27508 Subject Property: Lake Royale Lot 2037R, Bunn, NC Lake Royale [030301, 28-31-(1), B, NSW] REQUEST FOR MORE INFORMATION Dear Mr. Walker: On July 13, 2007, the Division of Water Quality (DWQ) received your application dated June 26, 2007 to impact 0.00653 acres of open waters below the normal pool lake level and 0.00276 acres of open waters above the normal pool lake level to construct the proposed seawall, boat slip, dock and access path. The DWQ has determined that your application was incomplete and/or provided inaccurate information as discussed below. The DWQ will require additional information in order to process your application to impact protected wetlands and/or streams on the subject property. Therefore, unless we receive the additional information requested below, we will have to move toward denial of your application as required by 15A NCAC 2H .0506 and will place this project on hold as incomplete until we receive this additional information. Please provide the following information so that we may continue to review your project. Additional Information Requested: 1. Please revise your plan sheet to reflect the square footage of impacts to the buffers for the proposed access path. Be sure to break out the square footage of Zone 1 and Zone 2 of the buffer impacts on your plan sheet. Please respond in writing within 30 calendar days of the date of this letter by sending a copy of this information to me and to Lauren Cobb of the DWQ Raleigh Regional Office. If you will not be able to provide the requested information within that timeframe, please provide written confirmation that you intend to provide the requested information, and include a specific timetable delineating when the requested materials will be provided. If we do not hear from you in 30 calendar days, we will assume that you no longer want to pursue this project and we will consider the project as returned. This letter only addresses the application review and does not authorize any impacts to wetlands, waters or protected buffers.
