This project is located in a Nutrient Sensitive Watershed (NSW). Per 15A NCAC 02H
.1017(9)(c), projects located in areas draining to Nutrient Sensitive Waters shall use
SCMs that reduce nutrient loading. Please provide proof that this SCM reduces
nutrient loading.
Response: Neuse nutrient calculations have been i, uuded in the calculations
package.
2. While not required for approval, it is recommended that the proposed wet pond
include an emergency spillway (It is noted that the pond is designed to contain the
100-year storm event, but we still recommend including an emergency spillway in
the event that the outlet structure becomes clogged and/or an extreme weather
event occurs)
Response: Due to the amount of fill at the SCM location, an emergency spillway
will not be included for this project. This will be noted for future projects.
3. 1x hard copy (2x hard copies if providing plans) and 1x electronic copy of
documentation showing that the SCM reduces nutrient loading.
Response: Neuse nutrient calculations have been included in the calculations
package and submitted electronically.
4. 2x hard copies of revised plans, 1x hard copy of revised calculations, and 1x
electronic copy of the revised items if an emergency spillway will be added to the
design (if applicable).
Response: Plans have not been revised. Revised calculations have been
included.
