This inspection was conducted to verify that the facility is operating in compliance with the conditions and limitations specified in Collection System Permit No. WQCSD0045. The findings and comments noted during this inspection are provided in the enclosed copy of the inspection report entitled "Compliance Inspection Report". Please respond in writing (e-mail) to this office within 30 days of your receipt of this letter regarding your plans or measures to be taken to address the following issues: • Repair the fences around the Turnpike and Galloway Road stations. Install locks to prevent unauthorized access to all pump stations and other collection system infrastructure. • Replace pump station signage to reflect the new contact ORC operating the system (Royal Waterworks) and the associated emergency numbers. Wes Royal (Collection System ORC) and Brian Shelton (Mayor) assisted with the inspection. The following items requiring correction were noted at the time of the inspection: Pump station facilities must be secured from the public. Complete repair the fences around the Turnpike and Galloway Road stations. Install locks to prevent unauthorized access to all pump stations and other collection system infrastructure. Replace pump station signage to reflect the new contact ORC operating the system (Royal Waterworks) and the associated emergency numbers. Maintain written document of biannual inspections of high priority lines and annual sewer line cleaning. The following additional items were noted at the time of the inspection: The town has put significant resources into maintaining collection system infrastructure since the last inspection, including replacement of pumps, electrical panels and railings. Future projects being planned include upgrading the telemetry system to a text based format, connection to the new force main that will serve Gaia Herbs and extend along Hwy 64, and raising/sealing manholes located in the flood plain to reduce I&I.
