• AT included in this PAR is current, but not officially approved

SNC INFORMATION:
• Copper results exceed permit limits and appear on the IDSF to be
in SNC, but are not since this wastewater was not discharged.
Charleston Forge sampled the individual tanks to determine where
the problem was and alternative disposal of the tanks was arranged
according to the permit.
• The source was a copper pipe from a plumbing repair on the water
line above the washer, which had fallen into a washer tank and
reacted with the wash chemicals.
• Each tank can be isolated and discharges only from the compliant
tanks occurred.

■ Batch discharger. Flow meter is read every production day and
recorded. Zero flow recorded on production days is included in
calculated averages.
■ There is a valve downstream from the flow meter because building
wastewater has backed up into its flow meter causing the totalizer
to increase erroneously. The valve was left open when the
calibration was done in October and 5 gallons over 3 non-
consecutive days in December on the totalizer was attributed to
this and was not included in the flow data.

• Flow data that was erroneous due to back-up in the collection
system was removed from the IDSF.
• This industry discontinued production locally in May 2021. It had
vacated the premises on June 30, 2021.
