The facility was not compliant with permit NCG530169 and a Notice of Deficiency is being issued. The facility has been operating since March 2016. Sampling was conducted prior to hurricane Florence, but records were lost due to flooding in the storm. Records were available for 2020 and 2022, and the owner stated that the facility has a contract to have samples taken per their permit requirements. The outfall pipe for discharge extends to the end of the dock and allows for safe sampling. The sinks have screens to catch solid particles for proper disposal. No solids can be discharged to receiving waters. Sampling has been done for 2022, and 2 out of 3 years of records were available for evaluation by DWR. Annual records should be kept on site for a minimum of three years and available for inspection upon request by the Division.
