Reason for Visit: Routine
Inspection Summary:
The referenced Annual Report was received electronically on May 20th, 2021. The report stated there was no land
application conducted under this permit in 2020. Mooresville Regional Office (MRO) staff reviewed the one -page report
during the January inspection; but, upon follow-up with your land application contractor and Belmont WWTP staff, confirmed
an oversight led to the late submittal.
Per conversation with Ms. Tanya Carter on May 20th, 2021, the oversight may have occurred from a misunderstanding with
their land application contractor as to who was to submit the "electronic" report. Belmont staff has routinely mailed reports
in a timely manner, apologized for this oversight and stated going forward Belmont staff would also handle electronic
submittal.
The MRO has no further questions related to the 2020 Annual Report. To avoid future violations please ensure Annual
Reports are submitted in accordance with your permit by March 1st each year.
Please be aware that non compliance with your permit could result in enforcement action by the Division of Water
Resources for these and any additional violations of State law.

Comment: This was a review of the 2020 Annual report only. MRO staff reviewed the one -page report
during the January inspection, but an oversight or miscommunication led to the late submittal in
May. The city of Belmont did not land apply under this permit in 2020. Residuals were land
applied under the LA contractors permit and were also hauled to a SC processing facility.
