Hello Heather. Unfortunately, due to current staffing, workload, and prioritization from Corps HQ, processing of JDs falls
to a lower priority than permitting. As we are currently receiving a large influx of permit applications there are long
delays in processing stand-alone JDs such as this one. It’s very hard to estimate when enough of a break in permit
evaluation will occur to allow me to process JDs, but several months is a good bet.

Typically our field delineation verification emails such as the one attached satisfy NCDOT’s requirements to proceed with
design, funding, permitting, etc. However, if an official processed JD is required for this project please give me the
deadline and the reason for it, and I will try to work it in.

Hi Heather. I reviewed the information you sent for the above referenced project. Based on your submittal and
available remotely sensed information I will proceed with an office verification for this project, confirming that the
review area (i.e. “Study Area 51.3 acres”) contains no waters of the US. No field verification from the Corps is necessary.

I will use the map titled “Figure 3” (attached) from your AJD request, dated 10/29/2021, when processing the AJD for
this site.
