This letter is to confirm that AECOM, 5438 Wade Park Boulevard, STE 200, Raleigh, North
Carolina, 27607, is acting as agent on behalf of the North Carolina Department of Environmental
Quality (DEQ), Division of Waste Management, Pre -Regulatory Landfill Unit for the Albemarle
Dump Remediation project located in Stanly County, North Carolina. This authorization is for
the delineation of wetland and waters, and processing of subsequent permit applications,
including:
• The Preliminary Jurisdictional Determination request;
U.S. Corps of Engineers (USACE) Section 404 Clean Water Act permits; and
• N.C. Department of the Environmental Quality - Division of Water Resources (NCDEQ-
DWR) Section 401 Clean Water Act- Water Quality Certifications
