SUMMARY OF HISTORIC ARCHITECTURE AND LANDSCAPES REVIEW
Description of review �ctivities, results, and conclusions:
Review of HPO quad maps, HPO GIS information, historic designations roster, and indexes was
undertaken on March 6, 2013. Based on this review, there are no existing NR, SL, LD, DE, or SS
properties in the Area of Potential Effects, which is 50'from the centerline each way and 300' from each
end of the bridge. Directly northwest of the bridge is 311 McBride Rd. (PIN 5031 00 71 0129), a one-
story frame house built c. 1955 according to Surry County GIS/Tax Information. The house is
unremarkable and not eligible for the National Register. Northeast of the bridge is 366 McBride Road
(PIN 5031 00 81 0849), a one-story frame house built c. 1920. The house is unremarkable, has lost
original material including the roof and siding, and is not eligible for the National Register. Southwest of
the bridge is 317 Stanley Road (PIN 5031 19 70 1377), a one-story frame house built c. 1920 that is
unremarkable and not eligible for the National Register. Both southeast and southwest of the bridge are
several one-story mid-twentieth century brick ranch houses that are not National Register eligible. In
addition, Bridge No. 95 is not NR eligible based on the NCDOT Historic Bridge Inventory. There are no
National Register listed or eligible properties, and no survey is required. If design plans change,
additional review may be required.

area:
HPO quad maps and GIS information recording NR, SL, LD, DE, and SS properties for the Surry County

determining the likelihood of historic resources being present. There are no National Register listed or
eligible properties within the APE and no survey is required.
