Operations of a conventional surface water treatment plant located in Williamston, NC that provides drinking water to municipal distribution systems, including the Town of Williamston and Martin County Water District 2. The treatment processes of this plant yields sludge from the sedimentation basin and solids from filter backwashing, both of which are held in collection basins for settling, then decanted (dewatered) and dechlorinated. This permit extends to our ability to discharge these process waters from said treatment works via Outfall 001, at the location specified on the attached map into an unnamed tributary to Sweetwater Creek [23- 50], a waterbody currently classified C located within Subbasin 03- 02- 09 [HUC: 030101070405] of the Roanoke River Basin.
