To Whom It May Concern:
Cordes & Company was appointed as Receiver by the U.S. District Court for the Eastern
District of North Carolina, Southern Division over the assets of Ernest Smith Farms, Inc, Garland
Farm Supply, Inc., and Orangeburg Foods, Inc (the "Companies"), pursuant to a Court Order filed
on September 2, 2020 ("Date of Appointment") in Case No. 7:20-CV-00142-BO.
The Court Order charged the Receiver with the liquidation of all assets of the Companies and
distribution of proceeds to the secured creditor. The Receiver has now liquidated all the assets of
the Companies and is now in the process of completing its final duties and seeking a discharge
with respect to the Receivership. The Receiver anticipates seeking such discharge from the
Court as soon as possible after the expiration of the bar date noted below. Upon discharge from
the Court, the Receivership estate will turn over any remaining assets as directed by the Court.
Accordingly, if you believe that you have a valid claim against the Receivership Estate for
materials or services provided on or after the Date of Appointment, please send a summary of
that claim and the related supporting information (i.e. invoices, statements or the like) to my
attention by January 25, 2022 ("Claims Bar Date") at the Colorado address on the letterhead.
Valid claims will only be considered for materials, labor or services provided under the
authorization of the Receiver. Pre -Receiver claims arising prior to September 2, 2020 will not be
considered in the process. Claims not received by the Claims Bar Date will be barred.
