Since the NPDES discharge system isn’t built, no inspection is required. I’ll make a note on my spreadsheet. Vanessa E. Good afternoon Chris, Currently the permitted NPDES has not been constructed for 815 Colonial Dr. I made a site visit to the property at 815 Colonial Dr on 9/24/2021. The exposed tank has been covered up and there was no sign of visible malfunction at the time of visit (9/24/2021 at 11:30 AM). The status of the drain field is uncertain as there is a driveway overtop and it cannot be probed or located. In the event a failure should occur, the previously issued NPDES will need to be installed due to space constraints. Unfortunately, we also do not have updated contact information for the property owner. Please let me know if you have any further questions or if any further information is required. Please direct me to the proper contact if that is the case. A little over a year ago my colleague Cheng Zhang corresponded with you and others about a residential waste water treatment system located at 815 Colonial Drive, Raleigh that he was assigned to inspect. Since the property owners applied for and received an NPDES permit for this property each year our office must verify that the permitted system has not been constructed and is not subject to inspection. Do you know if your office has visited the site during the past year? Also, we do not have working contact information for the property owner. If you have any updated information for them I would greatly appreciate it if you could provide that to me. Many thanks, J. Chris Smith, M.R.
