The site is being subdivided into 32 single family acre -lots with an anticipated four bedroom floor plan, The tract has an existing residential structure and miscellaneous storage buildings, which will be removed. Two existing well were identified by Lawrence and Associates while surveying the property, both wells will be abandoned per NCDENR approved methods, prior to activation of water and sewer. The project will require the extension of both water and sewer services which will be provided by Union County Public Works (UCPW) but construction funding will be provided by Shea Holdings LLC. Costs for future operations and maintenance will be incurred by UCPW,. The sewer service will be provided through a gravity system which will connect to the existing eight inch gravity system from the adjacent western property. The sewer extensions will require the installation of approximately 2,818 linear feet of either PVC or DIP eight inch pipe and necessary appurtenances. The estimated wastewater flow of 9,120 gpd based on 32 lots with 3 bedrooms with a daily flow of 95 gallons. Water will be provided by an existing eight inch waterline along the eastern edge of Lester Davis Road (SR1336). The project water service extension will consist of 1,158 linear feet of two inch and 1,825 linear feet of six inch waterline, three fire hydrants and necessary appurtenances. UPCW may be contacted for information regarding character or sources of their water supply, including; hydrological or hydrogeological data, stream flow rates or well yields, analytical results for chemical, mineral, bacteriological, and physical qualities; and location and nature of sources of pollution.
