Church St. Monroe, NC 28112-4804 Dear Christie: I have reviewed -the request you submitted to allow for an additional connection to the Six Mile Creek Outfall from the Tarkill Branch system in Union County. After reviewing the agreement and discussing it internally, Charlotte Mecklenburg Utilities agrees that Union County can proceed with the connection to the Six Mile Outfall. As outlined in the agreement, if the daily average flow exceeds 1 mgd from Union to Six Mile then we will need to calculate the additional capital charge for the additional capacity up to 3 mgd. As I understand it you have already been in contact with Mickey Hicks to look at what that charge would be. Per the agreement we would also want to have one of our engineers work with the designer of the forcemain in order to review the connection point and as we have discussed we will need to determine the appropriate type of metering device_ for this application. 1 will be in touch with you by phone to discuss how we should best proceed with this connection.
