The comments below provide information in response to your request. 1. A request was made to both the NC Division of Water Quality and NC Forest Resources for a determination of intermittent/perenniai streams on the property in February 2007. I had assumed that the required information had been provided directly to you and apologize for not following up on this matter more aggressively. I have called Kevin Barnett with the NC Division of Water Quality Asheville office and left him a message requesting a determination of intermittent and/or perennial streams on the property. I will pursue this and provide you the determination as soon as Kevin can make an inspection of the site and provide his deternnination regarding. 2. Detailed response to Section XIV-Cumulative Impacts: The proposed project is not anticipated result in additional development activity that could impact nearby downstream water quality. The site is located within a developed urban area and is the only site within the area that can be developed. All other properties are developed or aze city-owned open spaces that cannot be developed. The project site is located in a neighborhood whose initial development began in the 192f9s, with all properties currently developed. Located between downtown Asheville and the Asheville mall, there is little or no opportunity fox new development in the site vicinity. In addition, a stormwater management plan has been submitted to and approved by the City of Asheville. This plan addresses the 25 year storm and exceeds the standards set forth in the Cites stoxmwater management ordinance. T•d 6ZL6-ESZ-6Z8 uaa.~0 pjeua0 dOS~bO LO LZ u~C
