Inspection Summary:
For privately owned collection systems, the Grease Control Program shall include at least biannual
distribution of grease education materials to users of the collection system by the
permittee or its representative.
A pump station log was available but it had insufficient information. A Pump Station inspection log or summary should
included , at a minimum, the date and time of inspection, observations made, and any maintenance, repairs, or corrective
actions taken by the Permittee or its representative. The log should also document at least one weekly comprehensive
inspection that includes the testing of floats and audio/visual high water alarms.The pump station needs external A/V
alarms installed; This was also noted in the NOV letter sent June 8, 2010.
Collins Estates MHP has a deemed collection system and should follow the requirements under 15A NCAC 02T .0403.

stations equipped with SCADA systems or telemetry shall be inspected at least once
per week.
