Dear Mr. Bowen:
On January 25, 2022, a site inspection was conducted for the Mueller Steam Specialty facility located at 1491 NC Hwy 20
West, Saint Pauls, Robeson County, North Carolina. A copy of the Compliance Inspection Report is enclosed for your
review. Tiffany Crosby,Sr. EHS Engineer, and Kelly Howell, Maintenance, were also present during the inspection and their
time and assistance is greatly appreciated. The site visit and file review revealed that the subject facility is covered by
NPDES Stormwater General Permit NCG030000 under Certificate of Coverage NCG030576. Permit coverage authorizes`
the discharge of'stormwater from the facility to receiving waters designated as Big Marsh Swamp (Marsh Swamp) (Lake
McNeill, Odum Pond) and Gum Branch, class C;Sw waters in the Lumber River Basin.
As a result of the inspection, the facility was found to be compliant with the conditions of the NCG030000 permit. Please'
refer to the enclosed Compliance Inspection Report for additional comments and observations made during the inspection.
Please be advised that violations of the NPDES Stormwater General Permit are subject to a civil penalty
assessment of up to $25,000 per day for each violation. If you or your staff have any questions, comments, or needs

Inspection Summary:
Met with Tiffany Crosby, Sr. EHS Engineer, and Kelly Howell, Maintenance. Reviewed facility's Stormwater Pollution
Prevention Plan, which appeared complete and recently updated with new/current permit conditions including quarterly
monitoring frequency. Documentation associated with annual employee training, history of significant spills (none), annual
non-stormwater certification as well as preventative maintenance and good housekeeping program was also available for
review. Monitoring records from 2017 through the date of inspection indicate no discharge for the facility's stormwater
outfalls. After the records review, observations .were made of the outfalls, ASTs and overall site conditions.
