As part of the inspection conducted on August 1, 2018, a tour of the plant was conducted along with a
review of monitoring data. Butterballl Turkey Feed Mill, located at 5604 Turkey Hwy, Turkey NC
contracts Environmental Chemists Inc. to perform all the monthly boiler water analyses of the
subsurface wastewater system including pH, Temperature, Ammonia series, metals, dissolved solids
and O&G. The effluent discharged into a range of rocky material, which was absorbed by the soil,
therefore, no upstream or downstream temperature measurements are required.
