Mr. Davidson:
In regard to NOV-2022-LV-0047 for Ridge View Community (permit #NC0060283) we offer the
following explanation:
In November 2021 this facility had a high Coliform, Fecal MF, MF Broth (Fec-Col) resulting in a daily
violation. There was no previous high Fec-Col or a reoccurrence of the problem.. The violation was a direct
result of reducing the chlorine residual in order to pass a Chronic Toxicity. The Toxicity problem began in
August and we have tried a multitude of corrective actions to resolve the Toxicity issue. Chlorine was
present at chlorine contact but evidently not enough to pass the Fec-Col test. The Chronic Toxicity also
failed due to an oxidizer that we have not been able to isolate.
