The farm has had one cutting of hay removed and the expectations are to have one possibly two more cuttings taken from the spray fields. Growing conditions have been acceptable to produce an adequate crop from these spray fields. Upon a field visit to the facility on 7/20/2020 the coastal bermuda crop was determined to be in good condition and exhibiting healthy growth habits. Tissue samples were pulled from the spray fields on 9/2/2020 and sent to Waypoint Analytical for analysis. The sample results (attached) show that the current bermuda crop is low in Nitrogen with expectations of having more hay removed from these fields. Based on the expectation of having more hay removed from these fields, I would expect there to be justification for additional nitrogen to be applied to all spray fields. Utilizing the state approved Nitrogen Factor of 49 for coastal bermuda and an expectation to have approximately 1.5 tns/acre of hay removed the remainder of the season, i would recommend to have an additional 73.5 pounds of nitrogen applied per acre. ;CVO Pwl')--— Todd Rowe, CCA Waypoint ANALYTICAL 2850 Daisy Lane, Wilson, NC 27896 Main 252-206-1721 ° Fax 252-206-9973 www.waypointa natyticai-com PLANT ANALYSIS Send To: Smithfield Hog Production Grower: Smithfield HPD Report No.: 20-247-4016 Gust No.: 71077 Accounts Payable Lab No: 247552 POB 1240 Waverly, VA 23890 Report Date : 9/4/2020 , Received Date: 9/3/2020 Page : 1 of 12 Sample Id : Zonel & 2 Farm: 30903 Field id: Growth Stage : 4 to 5 week old plants Crop : Bermudagrass, Common Plant Part: Upper half of plant (1 pint) Test Analysis Plant Test Ratings Normal RangeRatio Actual Expected Ratio gm Solent Low Sufficient ve Nitrogen % 1.45 1.86 N15 9.1 8.2 3.50 Sulfur % 0.16 0.25 N/K 0,7 1.4 0.40 Phosphorus % 0.27 0.21 P/S 1.7 0.8 0.31 Potassium % 2.18 1.26 P/Zn 54.0 106.1 f I 2,55 Magnesium % 0.38 0.14 K/Mg 5.7 9.8 0.25 Calcium % 0.38 0.26 K .................................................................__.,...,. j Sodium % 0.03 0.20 Ca/B 316.7 471.4 0.34 Boron ppm 12 4 Fe/Mn 1.5 12 10 Zinc ppm 50 Ca/K 0.2 0.2 30 Manganese ppm 62 35 Ca/Mg 1.0 1.7 75 Iron ppm 93 30 100 Copper ppm 37 4 ..I 12 Aluminum ppm 82 10 300 Comments: 02015) NITROGEN - Deficient or low due to inadequate N fertilization, excessive rainfall, and/or ineffective N application.
