III. Certification Statement:
1 c, W certify to the best of my knowledge that the addition of
the volume bf wastewater to bd permitted in this project has been evaluated along the route to the receiving
wastewater treatment facility and that the flow from this project is not anticipated to cause any capacity
related sanitary sewer overflows or overburden any downstream pump station en route to the receiving
treatment plant under normal circumstances, given the implementation of the planned improvements
identified in the planning assessment where applicable. This analysis has been performed in accordance
with local established policies and procedures using the best available data. This certification applies to
those items listed above in Sections I and II plus all attached planning assessment addendums for which I
am the responsible party. Signature of this form certifies that the receiving collection system or treatment

DEC - 8 2021
Raleigh Regional Office
On behalf of Durham County Engineering and Environmental Services, and in accordance with 15A
NCAC subchapter 02T and the Division of Water Resources Minimum Design Criteria, we submit
herewith the relevant documentation to proposed modifications to the Stirrup Iron Creek Lift Station
for your review and approval. Please find enclosed:
• Fast Track Sewer System Extension Application
• Flow Tracking/Acceptance Form
• Existing Permit No_ WQ0039913
• Figure 1 —Aerial and Contour Map
• A $480.00 check for the standard processing fee
Durham County is requesting authorization to modify the existing attributes to Stirrup Iron Creek Lift
Station to reflect the following:
Increase firm capacity and acceptable flow to 7.5 MGD. The current firm capacity in the
existing permit is 6.5 MGD, but due to recent force main and pump testing the output has
been determined to be higher than anticipated. This permit revision is intended to account for
this variance in station output. Durham County requests authorization to increase the firm
capacity to accept additional flow.
Please feel free to contact me at (919) 692-3583 if you have any questions or require additional
information. I can also be reached at Zak.Purvis@Kimley-Horn.com.
Sincerely,
Zachary G_ Purvis, P.E_
