My name is Brittany Carson and I am the General Permits Coordinator for the Industrial Stormwater Program. My
colleagues and I have reviewed the NOI sent in for the Piedmont Lithium Project. Based on the application and initial site
visit conducted by the Mooresville Regional Office, we have determined this project is ineligible for coverage under
General Permit NCG020000.
Please see the attached correspondence. A paper copy has been mailed to you and the application will soon be mailed
back. If you have any questions pertaining to Individual Permits, please contact Brianna Young, copied in this email.

a NPDES NCG02 NOI application and processed in Raleigh too. Please check the status with

Zahid — the below references the NCG02 application that was submitted separately from the mine permit. My
understanding is that the hard copy goes to Raleigh, but would be reviewed at the regional Mooresville Office.
