Sue,
Here is what I sent off to Scott this morning in an attempt to finalize our E &S plan for approval. As I mentioned below, I
think this is a really viable option so I am hoping that Scott will concur. I am sorry that this is holding you up.

Scott,
Sorry for the confusion over the area along US 60 from about Sta. 59 +00 to Sta. 61 +50. 1 made a visit yesterday and feel
that there may be a potential for some of the excavated material to get past the silt fence which was Sue Homewood's
concern. I think that a pump around during periods of active construction is very viable so we are adding the following
note to that plan sheet. If you are in agreement, I will pass this along to Sue and she can finalize her 401.
EROSION CONTROL NOTES:
1. PLACE SILT FENCE AND STONE OUTLETS AT TOP OF RIP RAP LINING OR BOTTOM OF FILL SLOPE. ANY SOIL OR
DEBRIS THAT FALLS INTO DITCH SHALL BE RECOVERED AND REMOVED IMMEDIATELY.
2. DURING DAILY CONSTRUCTION, CONTRACTOR SHALL BLOCK END OF 54" RCP AND PUMP STREAM FLOW USING
RIP RAP LINED DITCH ON SOUTH SIDE OF US 70. REMOVE BLOCKAGE AT END OF EACH WORK DAY.
The note 1 is for the construction silt fence and the note 2 is shown applying to the end of pipe on the south side. (see
attached PDF)
The attached photo shows the 54" pipe with the very minimal "stream" flow that passes through there. This is the flow
that will be pumped. The photo is from the south side of the road looking through the pipe to the north side (the
construction side).
Sincerely,
Mike
