Enclosed you will find a copy of the Compliance Evaluation Inspection report for the routine inspection
that was conducted on April 30, 2017 by Johnathan Watts, Environmental Specialist, of the Fayetteville
Regional Office. The purpose of the inspection was to evaluate compliance with the requirements of
the Wastewater General Permit NCG500021. For the semi-annual analyses requirement, I reviewed
the result reports, for July 27 and November 4 of 2016. On the day of the inspection, this facility was
found in compliance with the requirements of the permit. You are commended for your initiative and
proactive approach for documentation and monitoring. I appreciate the time and professional courtesy

Perdue's Eagle Springs feed mill, located at 189 Perdue Way, Eagle Springs NC, appears to have
Boiler Blowdown and Air Compressor Condensate that commingled in a catch basin, before flowing'
through an underground culvert to a-v notch weir, which eventually flowed into Drowning Creek. Citric
acid is used to control pH in the catch basin area. Since chlorine was not used, chlorine testing was
not required. Upstream and downstream monitoring is not required as the receiving stream does not
contain any flowing water at the time of discharge. Samples collected were representative of the
permitted discharge.
