1. Avoidance and Minimization
la. Specifically describe measures taken to avoid or minimize the proposed impacts in designing the project:
The layout and design of the subdivision was carefully planned to minimize wetland and stream impacts, while at the same time maximizing the potential
of the project. Proposed road crossing will occur at the edge of the wetlands. Centerline of road has been offset and will be a private road at the cost of
the developer in order to minimize impacts to the wetlands as much as possible, while still maintaining connecting road required by Onslow County
Planning Department.
1 b. Specifically describe measures taken to avoid or minimize the proposed impacts through construction techniques:
Limit disturbance areas to minimal needed for equipment and installation. Work to be done in periods of dry weather. Work to be completed in minimal
time necessary. Headwalls have been designed for the culver crossings to minimize impact length. Silt fence and other erosion control measures are
proposed to minimize sedimentation runoff.
2. Compensatory Mitigation for Impacts to Waters of the U.S. or Waters of the State
2a. Does the project require Compensatory Mitigation for impacts to Waters of the U.S. or Waters of the State?
Yes No
2b. If this project DOES NOT require Compensatory Mitigation, explain why:
Impact area is less than 1/10th of an acre.
F. Stormwater Management and Diffuse Flow Plan (required by DWR)
1. Diffuse Flow Plan
la. Does the project include or is it adjacent to protected riparian buffers identified within one of the NC Riparian Buffer Protection Rules?
