Dear Mr. Zalme,

Governor
MICHAEL S. REGAN
Secretary
S. JAY ZIMMERMAN
Director
Enclosed please find a copy of the Compliance Evaluation Inspection form from the inspection
conducted on 1/24/2017. The Compliance Evaluation Inspection was conducted by Johnathan Watts,
Environmental Specialist, of the Fayetteville Regional Office. The facility was'found to be in Compliance
with permit NCG500645.
As part of the inspection, a tour of the plant was conducted. For the semi-annual analyses requirement,
records were reviewed from September 2016, when plant resumed production. During the records
review, Oil and grease analyses were not performed due to a misunderstanding of requirements under
the industrial storm -water permit. Please note that per our conversation, Mr. Wes Plummer was
informed that the oil and grease monitoring requirement will apply only for discharges of air compressor
condensate as stated in the General Permit NCG500000 Series under Part I, Section (A)-3. On the day of
the inspection, this facility was found to be in compliance with the requirements of the permit. I
appreciate the time and professional courtesy that you extended during the inspection. No additional
response is necessary from your office concerning this report. If you have any questions, please feel
free to contact me at (910) 433-3322. As a reminder, preservation of the Waters of the State can only be
achieved through consistent NPDES Permit compliance. If you or your staff have any questions, please
call me at 910-433-3322.
