The 7' is the total height of the wall. vertical - I have always thought the 2' - 5' meant someone had to stay within these
limits if they wanted to even up their shoreline. This wall will not be more that 3' from shoreline, it will sit right in front of
the existing old wooden wall. The rip rap lakeward will lay on the bottom based on Duke requirements for Rip rap use
with bulkheads. Hope this helps.

After discussing with my supervisor...
The associated Corp permit, GP30, for shoreline stabilization states that, " Bulkhead and riprap alignments will not
extend farther waterward than an average distance of 2 feet and a maximum distance of 5 feet from the normal pool
elevation contour..." This is looking at the impacts from an aerial or overhead view, not measuring the slope. The 7 ft.
proposed is well beyond this. I think the 7 ft. may be the total length down the slope and not the aerial view?
Is 2 feet enough for the riprap and wall.
Or 1 ft. wall and 2 ft. riprap = 3ft. But taking into account of existing wall, maybe 2 ft. is still sufficient?
