Dear Mr. Conner,
Enclosed you will find a copy of the Compliance Evaluation Inspection form for
the inspection that I conducted on September 24, 2007 at the Lilesville facility on US
Hwy 74. Your cooperation and that of Mr. Tim Jones was greatly appreciated. The
facility was found to be in compliance with the requirements of permit NCG520014.
This facility has two active General Permits: a General Wastewater Permit
NCG520014 and a General Stormwater Permit NCG020221. After our phone discussion
on November 14, 2007, between Mike Lawyer (DWQ-Fayetteville Regional Office), you,
and me, and after reviewing the applicable operations that the NCG520000 series pennit
covers, it appears that the facility is discharging from an in -stream sand dredging/dragline
operation and that the NCG520014 permit is still required.

It appeared that the facility was in compliance with requirements of the permit. The effluent limitations and
monitoring requirements were maintained as indicated by the attachment to this inspection report. This
facility has two active General Permits: a General Wastewater Permit NCG520014 and a General
Stormwater Permit NCG020221. After our phone discussion on November 14, 2007, between Mike Lawyer.
