Credit Release— Task 8
Dear Mr. Hutton:
On September 24, 2021, the Division of Water Resources (DWR) received the Year 4 Monitoring
Report from Wildlands Holdings III, LLC (WHIII) for the Grantham Branch site.
Results of the vegetation data showed stem densities higher than the required 260 stems/acre
throughout the site. Additionally, no concerns with invasive species or encroachment within the
easement boundary were noted.
DWR received a bond rider and continuation certificate for the performance bond (#106888834) in
the amount of $20,000 issued to WHIII to cover monitoring and maintenance at the subject site. The
term of this bond ends with DWR approval of the Year 5 Monitoring Report. Future credit releases
will be dependent on both the renewal of this performance bond and the annual monitoring reports.
In accordance with the MBI, signed on February 28, 2018, the following Project Milestones have
been met and the corresponding credits shall be released:

By copy of this correspondence, DWR confirms that you have satisfied the above requirements for
the above -referenced tract and 5% of your Nitrogen nutrient offset credits
(0.05 x 9,092.08 lb-N = 454.60 lb-N) are now available for sale. Additionally, 5% of your Neuse
buffer Restoration credits (0.05 x 458,663.80 ft2 = 22,933.19 ft2) and 5% of your Neuse buffer
Preservation credits (0.05 x 435.60 ft2 = 21.78 ft2) are now available for sale.
Please note that nutrient offset credits generated at this site must be used for impacts in HUC
03020201 of the Neuse River Basin excluding the Falls Lake Watershed pursuant to 15A NCAC
02B .0703, which became effective on April 1, 2020. Additionally, the riparian buffer credits
must be used for impacts in the Neuse River Basin in accordance with guidelines in the
