Location of the property (where work is to be conducted) Nearest Town: * Troutman County: * Iredell Lake/ river/ ocean adjacent to Lake Norman property: Subdivisions name or site address:* 182 Boat Launch Dr. Include phase/lot number Directions to site: * Travel into the main entrance of Lake Norman State Park on State Park Road. Keep straight on State Park Road for several miles; turn left onto Family Camp Circle. Take the first left on Family Camp Circle onto Boat Launch Drive. The site is at the end of the parking lot on the right; opposite the boat ramp. Please include road names and numbers, landmarks etc. 5. Describe the existing land use or condition of the site at the time of this application: The site is located at the pull in area of the boat launch. This area is used by vehicles to pull in and straighten their trailers up to back into the boat launch. The shoreline at the edge of this pull in area is severely eroded and undercut to the point of threatening the integrity of the asphalt. Residential, undeveloped, etc. 6. Property Size 1/10 Acres 7. Describe proposed work (include discussion as to how hardening of shoreline has been avoided, or why it is necessary): Existing vegetation in this section will be removed. The slope will have to be reshaped and the undercut areas filled in. The area will need to be covered in landscape fabric and stabilized with stone. 8. How will the work be done? * From Land From Water 9. Total amount of disturbance below the normal pool lake level/ normal water level: (including all clearing, back fill, excavation, rip rap, retaining walls, etc.) 500 square feet 10. Total amount of disturbance above the normal pool lake level/ normal water level and 50 feet land- ward: * (including all clearing, back fill, excavation, rip rap, retaining walls, etc.) 1500 square feet 11. Please describe the vegetation above the normal pool lake level/ normal water level and 50 feet landward to be impacted: * (number of trees, for instance) Approximately 20 small to midsize trees on the slop will be removed. They will need to be removed in order to reshape the area for stabilization. The area landward is the asphalt parking area.
