Davis, Director John E. Skavada, III, Secretary MEMORANDUM TO: Local, State and Federal Review Agencies FROM: Jason Dai DCM - W ' gton THRU: Debra Wilson Q`''om DCM - Wilmington DATE: January 22, 2014 RE: Heritage I, LLC for Bluewater Landing — Major Modification to Permit #64 -06 CAMA Permit Application Revision The subject Field Investigation Report (FIR), circulated on December 19, 2013, indicated that the applicant proposed to "Remove /eliminate the previously authorized swimming pool and associated decking and install a boardwalk (fixed "spine" along the shoreline) and docking facility to provide twelve (12) additional boat slip:?'. However, it has been brought to our attention by the Shellfish Sanitation Section that the proposed dock expansion would create an additional closure in the area and therefore, the total slip count would need to be reduced in order to receive favorable comments from their agency. As a result, the applicant has agreed to reduce the total number of slips from twenty -two (22) to twenty (20), by eliminating one of the finger piers. Accordingly, please note that the total number of proposed slips (under this permit modification) is being reduced from twelve (12), to ten (10). The applicant has submitted a plan revision, dated revised 1/17/2014, showing the reduction of slips. Additionally, the applicant has submitted a revised MP -4 form (also dated revised 1/17/2014) to correlate with the changes made to the drawings. Please make note of the correction and if you have any questions concerning these changes, please feel free to contact me at (910) 796 -7221.
