HomeMy WebLinkAbout20061944 Ver 2_Monitoring Report Review_20140122Subject: Review of Mitigation Monitoring Lonesome Valley Subdivision Dear Mr Fussell The Asheville Regional Office of the Division of Water Resources is in receipt of your year 5 Mitigation Monitoring report The submitted report indicated that the required mitigation buffer is not being maintained throughout the mitigation reach of stream Based upon the submitted monitoring report, you must complete the following • The "mowed" 30 foot buffer segments need to be replanted and flagged, fenced, or signed to keep vegetation disturbing activities out of these required buffers • Notification to the Division of Water Resources will be made once planting is complete and the vegetation will be monitored for success for an additional 2 years (planting + two annual monitoring seasons) utilizing the same success criteria as submitted in the 401 Water Quality Certification application No further stream stability monitoring is required, as the submitted report indicates 5 years of stability Please contact Kevin Barnett at 828 - 296 -4657 or kevin barnettnaa ncdenr gov if you have any questions or concerns.
