The Division of Water Resources received the Year 5 Monitoring Report for the above - referenced site,
dated December 2013.
DWR assumes this site will be included on the proposed closeout list for 2014. Based on review of the
monitoring report, the site generally appears to be appears to be on a trajectory for success. However, the
report states that supplemental planting was conducted in 2013. The areas replanted and the extent of the
replanting effort were not indicated in the monitoring report.
The area around plot 23 will need to be checked during the closeout site visit to determine the size of the
area with poor tree survival.
The monitoring report did not provide a performance standard for the coastal marsh restoration areas.
The area around plot 25 had only 50% cover, and is unchanged from 2012. This area will need to be
assessed at closeout to determine its restoration success. Areas with Chinese privet constitute approx.
30% of the site. Continued treatment of these areas to restrict the spread ofprivet is recommended
