The Division of Water Resources received the Year 2 Monitoring Report for the above - referenced site,
dated September 2013.
Since the site consisted of stream enhancement and preservation and wetland preservation, monitoring
focused mainly on vegetation. Two vegetation plots out of 12 did not meet the vegetation performance
standard of 320 stems per acre in year 3. These plots did exceed that standard when including natural
volunteers. This follows a substantial supplemental planting in winter of 2012; prior to the supplemental
planting none of the 12 plots meet the performance standard. Vegetation survival and growth will need to
be closely monitored.
Exotic invasives appear to be widespread across the site, although not yet at densities that may affect
planted stems. These invasives should be closely monitored and a plan to address these species should be
considered, especially for multiora rose, Chinese privet and fescue. As noted in the report, areas with
fescue appear to have poor planted stem survival, and supplementalplanting effort maybe warranted
after the third growing season.

comments.
