I spoke to you on the phone on Friday regarding the RFI letter dated January 8, 2014 for the Craven County Potable
Water Supply and Treatment Facilities and comment #2. You communicated that we should try to have some type of
treatment upstream of the pipe and you recommended a swale. I looked into the file more and we do have a grassed
swale on the front side of the home lot bordering the cul-de-sac. There is approximately 65 LF of grassed swale before
the access road culvert. Since the home lot property line is very close to the access road, there is really no other type of
room to do stormwater BMP upstream of pipe. Please let me know if the grassed swale is sufficient.
