I’ve reviewed your request dated December 13, 2021 (received 12/17/21) for the use of ‘bucket and barge’ dredging in
Sloops Channel. This request will not require a written modification of 401 Water Quality Certification No. 004346 that
was issued on June 17, 2021 for this activity (DWR project # 20200443). All the terms and conditions of the certification
still apply including any requirements or moratoriums established by the NC Wildlife Resources Commission (WRC), US
Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS), NC Division of Marine Fisheries (DMF), or National Marine Fisheries (NMFS). Let me
