PROJECT: North Point HOA
PLANNED: REQUEST TO REPLACE THE WALL AT NORTH POINT
LOCATION: LAKE NORMAN, MECKLENBURG CTY, DAVIDSON, NC
North Point HOA has contracted with my company, Permits 4U, Inc., to obtain necessary
permits for the proposed planned project listed above. The purpose of this project is to
replace an older existing wooden seawall with a new Redi Rock wall. They also plan to
remove a wooden seating area and add stone steps and additional rip rap to the already
stabilized area The existing wall has been in existence since 1983. Please see the
attached drawing by Darden Engineering dated November 8, 2013.
The improvements that are being proposed by the current homeowners associatioh
includes:
1. Replacing 194' of wooden wall with a Redi Rock Wall, not to exceed height
of existing wall. Also, placing 6' of Class B Rip Rap at base of wall.
2. Take out wooden seating area and replace with 45' of Tennessee Crab
Orchard Stone Steps approximately 4' high.
3. Refurbish adjoining areas with Class B Rip Rap
There will be no changes to the leased areas or the existing boat slips. The contact person

Please advise me on any comments, questions, or changes/additions you might have
concerning the proposed replacement of the sea wall and other work that the homeowners
association is requesting to do, so that we can continue the application process.
