Description of Collection System or Treatment Process:
The LOF Glass Wastewater Treatment Plant is a 30,000 gallon per day wastewater
facility with the following components: Grit Removal, Extended Aeration, Anaerobic
Sludge Digesters, clarifier and post chlorination. This facility treats only the domestic
waste from Libbey-Owens Ford glass plant.
II. Performance

The LOF wastewater facility was in compliance for all of 2002 except for April which exceeded the
designed flow for the treatment plant.

*LOF Glass personnel were notified of April's violation due to excessive flows into the treatment plant.
Recommendations were made to personnel at the facility that an investigation should be conducted to
determine the reason for the increased flows. Personnel were also informed that any and all penalties
issued by the NC Department of Environmental & Natural Resources (NCDENR) would be their
responsibility.

This Annual Performance Report will appear on the City of Laurinburg's Home page web site
http://www.laurinburg.org\ and a statement on our CCR (Consumer Confidence Report )will inform
citizens that the Annual Report is available via internet or upon request.
