Good Morning Chris and Doug, I have attached the updated SOA for 21,416 sqft of buffer mitigation credits. It is valid for 90 days. In a separate email Brian indicated he would like an invoice, can you please provide the purchasing entity information and I will get that done today as well. If I have overlooked that exact information, I apologize. Please give me a call and we can go over this in more detail with the plans in front of us. Some of the buffer impacts for walkways do not necessarily require mitigation because they are less than 6 feet wide in the buffers. I was able to measure the widths on the plans this morning and confirm that impacts at B3, B4, B5, and B7 are 6 feet wide based on the submitted plans. I double checked the numbers based the plans and found that the engineer measured the longest length of walkway within the buffer and that is where the impact lengths were derived from. For example, at impact B3, the total square footage of impact is 250 square feet over 68 linear feet which gives an average width of buffer impact as 3.676 feet. (250 / 68). All that being said, I think that the mitigation is limited to the beach and the 467 square feet of beach access walkway since it does exceed 8 feet in width. Look forward to talking with you - On Wed, Dec 22, 2021 at 9:24 PM Amy Staley <astaley@res.us> wrote: Chris and Doug, I have attached the updated SOA, please let us know if we can help you with anything else. On Wed, Dec 22, 2021 at 4:03 PM Perez, Douglas J <doug.perez@ncdenr.gov> wrote: Hello All, Thanks for getting the mitigation letters to us, however I did notice a few mistakes. First, mitigation for zone i of the Catawba Riparian Buffer is a z:I ratio. Second, mitigation should be for both the beach AND the walkways 5 as they are over 6 feet wide. So, by my calculations and the most recent impact table that was given to me, the breakdown should be as follows: Compensatory Mitigation Required River and Sub -Basin Number Ratio Corrected Mitigation Required Zone 1 Buffers Beach Pedestrian Trail 11,635 sq. ft 10,241 sq. ft. 1,394 sq. ft. Catawba 03050101 2:1 ratio 23,270 sq. ft. (total) 20,482 sq. ft. 2,788 sq. ft. Please send a new, updated letter from whichever bank or banks you will be requesting from. I need to word the information for the mitigation bank correctly and depending on which bank or banks that is will change the wording.
