The new owner must apply for a new COC if the project construction is continuing, and the previous owner must submit a Notice of Termination (NOT) request here: https://edocs.deg.nc.gov/Forms/NCG01-Termination If the project was closed out/stabilized before the sale, the E&SC close-out inspection should be uploaded by the original owner/operator to terminate the permit. Otherwise, the new owner should apply for a new permit, and the current owner should submit an NOT request with the new COC number. Otherwise, the permit remains active in the name of the original permittee, and the annual fee remains outstanding. If you have any further questions, please contact Alaina Morman, copied above.
