D. Impact Justification and Mitigation
1. Avoidance and Minimization
1a Specifically describe measures taken to avoid or minimize the proposed impacts in designing project
The proposed residence is a two bedroom residence that minimizes budding footprint The size of the septic system area is
based on bedrooms which further minimizes impacts compared to a residence with more bedrooms The septic system
repair field utilizes a pretreatement technolgy which further minimizes area impacts A variance
1 b Specifically describe measures taken to avoid or minimize the proposed impacts through construction techniques
Area will be staked by land surveyor which clearly identifies project area Chainsaws will be used to fall trees Tree trunks will
be ground to surface with no stump removal The construction will begin from the existing upland and progress southward
All trucks and construction equipment will be maintained within the construction boundary Silt fencing and seed /straw will be
utilized to prevent erosion
2. Compensatory Mitigation for Impacts to Waters of the U.S. or Waters of the State
