:Description of Collection System or Treatment Process:
Operation of a 0.2 MOD wastewater treatment facility consisting of a manual bar screen,
two oxidation ditches operated in parallel treatment trains, two clarifiers with flow directed to a
Partial flume, and flow meter, step down post aeration, aerated sludge digester with sludge drying
beds, and post chlorination. This facility is Located at the Parkton WWTP, on NC SR 1724
southeast of Parkton in Robeson County. The wastewater collection system consists of 2 miles of
gravity. flow sewer mains and 1.5 miles of force mains. We have two lift stations one that pumps
waste water to different location in the collection system. Lift station # 2 pumps sewer water to
the wastewater treatment plant.

1 - Notice of Deficiency
The 4 sanitary sewer overflows were caused by I&l due to excessive rainfall amounts. Parkton is
currently undergoing some collection system upgrades that wilt help with the I&I problem. The 4
Monitoring or Reporting Violations were also due to excessive rainfall amounts, we exceeded
our permitted flow limit at the WWTP in the months of Fehr nary, March, November and
December. Tire Notice of Deficiency was due to our Total Chlorine Residue exceeded our Daily
Maximum.

Public Notice
The North Carolina Clean Act of 1999 requires that each owner of operator of any
wastewater treatment plant or wastewater collection system to provide an annual
performance report to its users and customers.
Tb.e Town of Parkton owns its wastewater collections system and the wastewater
treatment facility located at NCSR 1724 Southeast of Parkton in Robeson County. A.
copy of th.e Towns 2015 performance report can be obtained at the Parkton Town
Office, located at 28 West David Parnell St.
The report will show that during 2015, the Town of Parkton bad 0 monitoring or
reporting violations, 4 permit violations, and 4 sanitary sewer over flow.
