Dan found some records in Laserfiche that indicate there was certainly a discharge pipe at one point. See page one of the attachment for a description of the discharge and page two for coordinates of the pipe. These coordinates match a separate diagram I found in Laserfiche, so I am thinking it is probable that the pipe is located there — it's a strange spot where we wouldn't necessarily check during an inspection unless we had a reason to. The new owners told me they had mailed a change of ownership form in early November, but the change isn't reflected in BIMS. I can advise them to mail it again so they can pay any relevant bills and retain the permit, because it sounds like there is in fact a discharge pipe. This is a strange situation because the health department seems certain that they had a permit for this system at one point, so I'm personally very curious to find the pipe. This site was originally permitted as a discharging system. However, we had no contact with the owners between 1993 and 2007, so anything could have happened regarding system repairs or a change to a conventional septic system. Dan Boss got the owner (Townsend) to submit ownership change paperwork in 2007, and we've heard nothing since. NCG550040 should be made inactive. The former owner never paid any annual fees, so there's no cause to renew this. If there's no outfall, then we should tell the new owners to get a permit from the county. No discharge = not our jurisdiction. I am working on an inspection of NCG550040 and it's a strange one — hoping you might have some information on it. The discharge pipe has never been located as far as I can tell. All inspections dating back to 2007 state that the pipe was not found. The property owner believes it was installed as, or at one point converted to a traditional septic system. Staff at the local health department said they recall seeing a permit for this property on their end, but they can't locate it. Do you have any files on this permit that would suggest it was built as or converted to a traditional septic system with no discharge pipe? The property was sold about 3 years ago, and the new owners just became aware of this permit. They have submitted a change of ownership form, but the change isn't reflected in BIMS yet. I noticed the billing is really strange, see screenshot below. Thanks for your help! 2 Permit 11.1CG550040 1 FspltIy Version.
