Rutherfordton CLRS on 12/08/2021. This inspection was conducted to verify that the facility is
operating in compliance with the conditions and limitations specified in Non-discharge Permit No.
WQ0020493. The findings and comments noted during this inspection are provided in the enclosed
copy of the inspection report entitled "Compliance Inspection Report".

There were no significant issues or findings noted during the inspection and therefore, a response to this
inspection report is not required.

Inspection Summary:
Mikal Willmer, with the Asheville Regional Office (ARO), conducted a follow-up inspection of Parton Lumber's closed-loop
recycle system on December 8, 2021. This inspection was conducted due to the non-compliant inspection in 2020. David
Evans, Parton Lumber, was present and assisted in the inspection.
Parton Lumber is now submitting results to the ARO annually. Weekly freeboard records were available for review at the time
of the inspection. As a reminder, a minimum of seven feet of freeboard is required to be maintained in the pond. If the pond
waste level exceeds the required freeboard, the permittee is required to notify the ARO within 24 hours.
ARO sample results upstream and downstream of the pond will be reported to the permittee as soon as they are available.
