This inspection was conducted to verify that the facility is operating in compliance with the conditions and limitations specified in NPDES WW Permit No. NCG551238. A summary of the findings and comments noted during the inspection are provided in the enclosed copy of the inspection report. The Compliance Evaluation inspection was conducted by Division of Water Resources staff from the Asheville Regional Office. This inspection was conducted to determine if the system is being operated and maintained in compliance with General Permit no. NCG550000. Ms. King keeps the system well-maintained and has the septic tank pumped regularly. Since the last inspection, the septic tank was pumped on April 2, 2020 and November 9, 2021 by Burgin and Son. The effluent pipe discharges on a regular basis and Ms. King had Kace Environmental sample in 2018, 2019, and 2020. Kace is scheduled to sample at the end of December for 2021. For sampling in 2018-2020, samples were analyzed for BOD, TSS, and Fecal Coliform - TRC was not analyzed, and no estimated flow was provided. On December 16, 2021, Ms. Armeni spoke with Ms. King and Ms. Rachael Kramer of Kace, and explained to both of them the sampling requirements outlined in General Permit NCG550000. Ms. Kramer said they would meet the permit requirements for all future sampling events for Ms. King. BOD, TSS, and Fecal Coliform were within permit limits for all years except 2019 for sampling. In 2019, BOD exceeded the permit limits at 46.7 mg/L and was within permit limits the following year at 28.2 mg/L. The following deficiency was noted during the inspection: 1.
