Item Explanation
The purpose of this agenda item is to consider a utility allocation request for the Bexford
Subdivision Phase 1 through 4.
Staff Comments
The Town of Fuquay-Varna has received a Utility Agreement Allocation Request from
Terramor Homes for the Bexford Subdivision, Phases 1 through 6. The requested
amount of sewer allocation in the Terrible Creek Wasteviater Treatment Plant
(TCWWTP) is 61,825 gpd, and the requested amount of viater allocation is 72,940 gpd
for 247, 3-bedroom single family homes to be completed in (6) phases.
Given the amount of the utility allocation request and the development schedule of the
project, at this time, staff is recommending allocating viater and sewer capacity for
Phases 1 through 4, or 45,400 gpd of sanitary sewer and 53,230 gpd water capacity. The
remaining capacity request for the project's phases 5 and 6 can be requested upon
completion of the first 100 units in phases 1 through 4.
Based on staffs reviewof previous allocations and the current flowto the TCWWTP there
is sufficient treatment capacity and sufficient remaining viater capacity to approve this
utility allocation recommendation for Terramor Homes for the Bexford Subdivision,
Phases 1 through 4.
